What You’ll Experience

Let us take care of you. Join yoga teachers and massage therapists, Sasha + Cody for this curated experience to unwind your busy mind and relieve physical tension.

When you arrive, you will select a space already set up and waiting for you with all of the props you’ll need.

During the session you'll be guided into gentle, supported restorative postures which will be complemented with massage assists (Acupressure, Reflexology, Thai Massage, Deep Tissue). Experience gradual release and ease of connective tissues and muscles.

We will close our practice with a soothing savasana and Yoga Nidra, leading you further into the subtle body channels.

Two Ways to Join

Small Group

The session is hosted at the Homebody Studio in Burlington VT. Space is limited to four participants. Come solo or sign up as a small group. Bonus! Hot towels and guided self foot massage is included in this session.

Saturdays

Large Group

This session is hosted at Laughing River Yoga Studio in Burlington VT. We are pleased to offer this workshop to more people! Space is limited to 25 participants. Join Cody + Sasha for this session of rest + restore.

FAQs

Who is this for?

This is for anyone who is feeling exhausted, burnt out, overwhelmed, and deeply in need of rest and care. You care for so many people and you want to make sure you continue to show up for yourself AND others. Rest is the key.

What should I expect for this session?

Restorative yoga is a practice of slowness and stillness. We will guide you into each pose, supported by props to help your muscles let go, relax, and recharge. We stay in each pose generally between 5-20 minutes. You are always welcome to come out of a pose earlier if needed. While you are in each restorative pose, we will offer massage assists to help your muscles and connective tissues further find a sense of ease.

What should I wear?

You’ll want to wear loose, flexible, and comfortable clothing. Think of what you would wear to a yoga class. Because Restorative Yoga is a practice of stillness, your body may be cooler than usual, for this reason we recommend wearing layers so that you can adjust your temperature as needed. We will also have blankets available.

If I don’t want to be touched, can I still attend?

While you will get the most out of this nourishing experience by receiving the benefits of touch as well as restorative yoga, you may decide to opt out of receiving the massage assists. Please either let us know upon arriving for the session or email us ahead of time.

I’m pregnant, can I still attend?

Please reach out ahead of time if you are pregnant. We would like to know how far along you will be at the time of the workshop and if there are any special circumstances around your pregnancy to accommodate. You may be guided into other restorative poses and offered alternative massage assists so that we can safely support you.

How can I get the most out of the session?

Come with an open mind and allow yourself to receive the rest and care you so much deserve. Remember you are a human BEing, not a human DOing.
